Noria Nuru (She/Her) is a multidisciplinary professional and student at The University of Akron, where she is completing a unique academic trifecta: a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, and a Certificate in Software Development. With a cumulative GPA of 3.9/4.0, Noria has proven she is capable of seamlessly bridging the gap between creative expression and data-driven strategy.
As a marketing professional, Noria has led high-impact projects for clients in her time at The University of Akron. Her work on a brand and social media strategy for Stadium Mustard earned first place from the client, and she successfully led a brand repositioning project about the CPG brand, Fly By Jing, for her Brand Management class. Currently, she serves as a Project Management Intern at Akron Promise, where she develops professional programming and a speaker series for local students. Her technical expertise is further bolstered by certifications in Google Ads Search, HubSpot Content Marketing, and Google UX Design.
Noria’s leadership extends deep into her community and the arts. She serves as the President of the African American Business Association where she organized a large scale event spanning 12 on campus clubs and approximately 35 community leaders, and also Terpsichore Dance Club where she led a fully student produced mainstage performance. As an accomplished dancer herself, she has performed in multiple mainstage productions, participated in residencies with renowned artists through NCCAkron, and served as an Administrative Assistant intern for the Joffrey Ballet School.
Looking ahead, Noria will continue her education at Kent State University to pursue a Master of Science in User Experience (UX) Design starting in Spring 2027. She is dedicated to creating engaging, inclusive, and effective digital and physical experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.
